Winners! (+ I Heart Christmas)

I heart Christmas so much.

I’ll get to the Giveaway Winner in a moment, but first I must show you why Christmas is the best time of the year:

I spent $40 at Joanns and took home enough supplies to decorate the entire house in Christmasy goodness.  I love the minimalist look of the grape vine wreath.  I just spruced it up slightly by hot-gluing on some berries.  Our mantle decorations were free.  The greens were taken from our local tree farm and my husband spotted those gorgeous berries on a bush outside our house.  The yarn “trees” were made in about 30 minutes.  See this great tutorial to try them out yourself.  The rest of the decorations I purchased included candles, pinecones and some ornaments.  I can’t even tell you how happy it makes me to come home from work and see this reminder of Christmas!

Now, onto the giveaway winners.  WOW, you guys are awesome!  I read each and every one of your comments, and boy were there some fun answers in there!  Here are some fun facts about our favorite Christmas gifts (and my husband’s favorite):

  • 4 were most excited by cookbooks
  • 11 cherished Cabbage Patch dolls the most
  • 15 loved Barbie dolls
  • 22 were surprised by an engagement ring for Christmas
  • More than 30 call a son’s or daughter’s birth the best Christmas gift
  • Almost 60 received sewing machines (not surprising!)

Here’s the comment that my husband liked the most:

So so funny!

So, who are the winners?  Random.org helped me choose (thank goodness because I could never choose a favorite!):

The winner of the fabric, bag, buttons and thread is Jaclyn of http://urbancrunch.wordpress.com:

I also chose 1 winner out of a pool of everyone who subscribed to my blog.

The winner was Erin Compton of http://erincomptondesign.blogspot.com/.  Erin will get to choose one iPod/iPhone/Camera case from my Etsy Shop.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated, and especially to those of you who subscribed to my blog.  You guys are awesome and I can’t wait to get to know you all better!  I hope that you will take some time to check out my Tutorials and hopefully get inspired to start sewing!
