I made these cute Oven Mitts for my best friend’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. I drafted the pattern from some mitts I bought at William Sonoma. They were so much fun to make, but these suckers take a long time!!
I’m working on another pair right now for a Christmas gift. Speaking of Christmas gifts, I decided to go all handmade this year. Thus the blogging silence….it is definitely hard to blog when you’re crafting 100% of the time yet you can’t show any of the gifts on the blog or the surprise will be spoiled! I’m going to have a boatload of posts after all these presents are gifted!
And, just for fun, the last time we were visiting my husband’s parents we decided to find the plaque that inspired my blog name (our last name is Seitz, pronounced “Sights,” see this post for details). We had to get a picture with it, just to heighten the cheesiness…I love it:
Before you go, hop on over to Jaclyn’s blog, Urban Crunch, to see how she’s enjoying her orangey-goodness winnings! I hope that you are all well and blessed during this Holiday season.

These look so pro! Lovely! I used the same fabric for binding my recent advent calendar. Polka dots make the best binding!
Nice mitts!
I love the cheesy pic, too cute.
Thanks for the blog mention!
