Essex Putty! It was a tough choice, but ultimately you all convinced me! My initial favorite was the putty sashing, so hearing all of your affirmation really convinced me.
Here is the winning quilt (front and back):
I am so anxious to get started, and I’ll try to keep you all updated along the way.
Here is what else I’ve been working on lately:
This is a simple jersey knit top. I just roughly drafted a pattern after a top I already own and love. I love this fabric, it is so soft and I got it for $1/yard at my super top secret Solvang (CA) fabric store!
This evening I made this simple iPod (touch) case:
The pattern comes from Sew Mama Sew’s website: http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=740. I updated it a bit to fit my iPod (changed the pattern size from 5″ x 14″ to 4″ x 14″. This is definitely one of those instant gratification projects since I was able to finish it in about 20 minutes. I made a matching case for a digital camera (keeping the original pattern size).
Let’s hope I keep this blogging momentum up!
